BIOGRAPHY
Maisie is a Costs Practitioner in NMH’s Manchester office. She joined the firm in July 2025, straight after completing her law degree, and was promoted to her current role in 2026.
She runs a varied caseload across judicial review, clinical negligence, serious injury and other receiving party costs matters, to include drafting bills of costs, points of reply and costs budgets, carrying out legal research and negotiating settlements.
Maisie came to costs with a grounding in civil litigation; while completing her degree she marshalled for judges in the Business and Property Courts at Manchester Civil Justice Centre, sitting alongside them in hearings and seeing at first hand how preparation and advocacy decide a case.
Maisie graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an LLB (Hons) in 2025, having won her sixth-form college’s law award prior to undertaking her degree.
Outside work Maisie travels whenever she can and holds a fanatical knowledge of the best restaurants wherever she lands. She also enjoys the cinema, reading and time with her partner and her family.
