BIOGRAPHY
Patrick is a Senior Costs Lawyer at NMH with more than a decade in costs, including six years as a qualified Costs Lawyer. He joined the firm in January 2026 and runs a caseload of complex and high-value matters, in addition to overseeing costs project work.
Patrick began his career in costs in 2013 at a Manchester costs firm, where over almost ten years he undertook costs work across commercial litigation, clinical and dental negligence, industrial disease and public and employers’ liability, including cases worth several million pounds. He then spent almost three years in the commercial team of a leading London costs practice, dealing with high-value and complex matters, before joining NMH. His work covers the whole life of a costs dispute: bills of costs, points of dispute and replies, costs budgets and negotiations. He also appears as an advocate at detailed assessment and costs management hearings.
Patrick qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2020 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. He has written several articles on costs for legal publications.
Outside work, Patrick is a big NFL fan. He supports the LA Rams and plays in more fantasy football leagues than he probably should. He also enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife and two young children.
